Reading and Leeds festvial Announcement

As I'm sure most of you are familiar with the annual festival of Reading and Leeds. Normally we could expect to see a mixture of bands and genres announced as being of the leading mainstream festivals in the UK, there has to be something for everyone right?

With the recent announcement today, I'm sure that most of the regular reading fans are shocked by the newly added bands. Not being the final announcement, yet there is still a great deal of rock genre bands. Reading seems to be going back to it's old roots as more pop punk, and alliterative indie rock bands seem to be added.

One thing I was personally shocked by was The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Gnarwolves, The Front Bottoms and Touche Amore being added. Surly this was more of a Slam Dunk/ Warped Tour line up rather than a mainstream festival?

Not saying that I'm not happy about it, as I am over the moon, it just doesn't seem like an ideal reading line up for a mass audience.
Moving more to the aggressive rock side with bands like Letlive, Of Mice & Men, Architects, Issues and Crossfaith, the metalcore genre seems to be moving from download and emerging to reading as Enter Shikari and A Day To Remember were only playing download just last year!

This has 100% made me want to buy a ticket now.
But what are you thoughts and views on it?
